Hindi is our national language and it is spoken and understood by majority of Indians. A substantial number of students who get admitted in the College are Non-Bengali speaking and so they take up Hindi as the modern Indian language course. This minor department of the College with only one full time faculty member has been serving the College since 1971. Under the guidance of the faculty member, students actively contribute to the College Magazine and take part in the Students’ Fair. As speaking Hindi is helpful in marketing, public relations and other jobs, the enthusiasm of students is wholesome as per as the Department is concerned.
